Uruguay's coast is one of the main attractions
of the country. Some of Uruguay's beaches are considered among the

Uruguay has two different kinds of coasts and beaches, some of them
on the Rio de la Plata, and others on the Atlantic Ocean, being the
second the most attractive ones.
Uruguay beaches: the Atlantic Ocean
The south east of Uruguay counts with a great
amount of beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. The departments of Maldonado
and Rocha are where most of these beautiful beaches are located. While
visiting this area of Uruguay, the best way to find a nice beach might
be to simply go by the coastline paying attention in order to be able
to spot an attractive and tranquil beach, since there is a large amount
of them.
Uruguay beaches: Maldonado

beaches in Uruguay. This department has resorts such as Punta del
Este and Piriápolis, two beautiful places famous in South America
and very popular in the rest of the world as well. While being in
this area of Uruguay, tourists could find a variety of beaches of
different sizes and popularity, as well as, if they explore the coastline,
they can also find several small and almost unvisited beaches that
can be ideal for swimming peacefully or for a relaxing sunbath.
